Typical food Much has been said about the typical dish of Valledupar; when trying to pin down, until a few days ago uncertainty prevailed in the referent. However, on March 11 th the municipal tourism office through a competition managed to define our gastronomic identity. Composed by: An input chicharrón and cheese arepa. As a main dish, rice noodle, desmechada meat, roasted banana with cheese and sancocho. And the dessert chilonga cupcakes (baked banana with milk and spices) and aguapanela.

CHICHARRON Chicharron is a food that in some countries is obtained after melting pork fat, in other pork fat is used for cooking meat and other consists in a fried pork skin with or without meat.

CRAFTS back packs, hat, hammocks, neckless, handles, musical instruments, guitar, box instrument, accordion, guacharaca, etc… It is the Craft Center Calle Grande, where 25 artisans are located throughout this artisan alley.
