2 Review of Gustar  Remember how gustar works?  The indirect object pronoun refers to the person who likes something. me, te, le, nos, os, les  The verb gustar agrees with what is liked—it can either be singular or plural. gusta or gustan A mí me gustan las plantas en el jardín.

3 Tocar  To tell whose turn/responsibility it is to do something  To say to whom something is up to  Used like gustar Me tocaNos toca Te tocaOs toca Le tocaLes toca  There is only a singular form because it is always followed by an infinitive.  Ex. ¿A quién le toca cantar?  ¿Qué te toca hacer?

4 Ejemplos  ¿A quién le toca limpiar el baño? Whose turn is it to clean the bathroom?  A mí me toca lavar los platos. It is my turn to wash the dishes.  A Susana le toca cocinar la cena. It is up to Susana to cook dinner.  A ellos les toca arreglar sus cuartos. It is up to them to clean their rooms.

5 Parecer  To give an opinion about something  To seem or to appear (think about)  Used like gustar Me parece(n)Nos parece(n) Te parece(n)Os parece(n) Le parece(n)Les parece(n)  The conjugation depends on what one is giving an opinion about (singular or plural).  Uses adjectives to describe the opinion interesante, aburrido, divertido bien, mal, fenomenal, pésimo fácil, difícil injusto

6 Ejemplos  ¿Qué te parece la clase de español? Me parece aburrida. Or Me parece interesante.  A Juan y a mí nos parece bien hacer los quehaceres.  A los estudiantes no les parece horrible hacer la tarea de Alejandro.  A Miguel le parecen interesantes los libros de ficción.

7 ¡Ojo!  Did you notice in that last example that parecen was plural because los libros is plural? A Miguel le parecen interesantes los libros de ficción.
