3 What are the rules? Rule #1 – You add the letter S to the end of a word that ends with a vowel. – Calendario  calendarios – Rojo  rojos – Libro  libros – Pollo  pollos – Oso  osos

4 What are the rules? Rule #2 – You add the letters es to the end of a word that ends with a consonant. Papel  papeles Reloj  relojes

5 What are the rules? Rule #3 – Not really a rule, rather an exception to the rules... – If a noun or an adjective ends with a z, you need to change the z to a c, then you follow rule #2! – Examples: L ápiz  lapic  lapices Luz  luc  luces

6 What are the rules? Rule #4 If you change the adjective or noun, you also need to change the article that is in front of the noun. – El  los – La  las
