3 Uses of the verb IR- to go To talk about where someone is going To state what someone is going to do in the future

5 Remember! When going from one place to another, you must use the preposition “a” (to) after the IR conjugation Examples: 1.Voy a la biblioteca 2.Esteban va al campo de fútbol

6 Contraction/ A+el = al a + el = al a = to +the= to the You can’t contract A la- to the feminine singular A las- to the feminine plural A los- to the masculine plural

7 When you talk about things you are “going to do” in the future, use the phrase: yo tú él, ella/ usted nosotros(as) X ellos(as)/ ustedes U2E3, p. 149 voy a... vas a... va a... vamos a van a... ir+a+infinitive (a verb)
