3 Just like with gustar, we can use querer with infinitive verbs too! Ejemplos:  ¡Yo quier___ comer Taco Bell!  ¿Quier____ (tú) jugar básquetbol conmigo?  Ella quier____ leer los libros.  Nosotros quer______ ir al cine contigo.

4 To ask what a friend wants to do: To answer: ¿Qué quieres hacer hoy? What do you want to do today? Ni idea. I have no idea. ¿Quieres ir al cine conmigo? Do you want to go to the movies with me? Está bien. All right. No, gracias. No quiero ir al cine hoy. No, thanks. I don’t want to go to the movies today.

6 Translate the following questions/sentences from English to Spanish: Do you want to surf the internet? Do you want to watch television with me? Do you want to spend time with my family? I like to rollerblade/rollerskate with my friends. ¿Quieres navegar por el internet? ¿Quieres ver televisión conmigo? ¿Quieres pasar el rato con mi familia? ¿Quieres alquilar videos conmigo y con mis amigos? Me gusta jugar tenis contigo. Me gusta patinar con mis amigos.

9 ¿Qué quiere hacer?  What does each person want to do?  Example: 1. Ella quiere pasar el rato con amigos.  Remember that for él or ella we use “quiere.”  Then choose the ACTION that each person is doing/wants to do.

10 ¿Qué quieres hacer?  On a sheet of paper, you will write 10 things you want to do over the holiday vacation.  1. Yo quiero….  2. Yo quiero…  Make sure to draw a picture for each thing you want to do.
