Si clauses with the conditional
To create an “if” clause using the conditional you must be expressing a present or future alternate reality, not a habitual actions. Si + past subjunctive, conditional Si tuviera un million de dólares, viajaría a China.

Special uses of the conditional
Make polite requests: ¿Podrías darme una galleta? Past Probability: (I wondered if . . .) No me sentí bien ayer. ¿Sería por la comida china?
