2 Conjugating regular verbs To conjugate regular verbs into the present tense, drop the infinitive ending. -ar -ar -er -er -ir -ir Add the appropriate –ar, -er, or –ir ending, making sure to match the subject to the correct ending.

4 Práctica canto cantas canta cantamos cantáis cantan Las formas del verbo CANTAR (to sing): cantar

5 -er verb endings -o-es-e-emos -éis -en

6 -ir verb endings -o-es-e-imos -ís -en The only difference between –er and –ir endings are the nosotros and vosotros endings.

10 aprender + a + infinitivo Means “to learn to do something” Conjugate aprender according to the appropriate subject follow it with an infinitive verb to express what is being learned Por ejemplo: Lola aprende a patinar. Lola aprende a patinar. Lola learns how to skate. Lola learns how to skate.
