29 Targets for French Beginners Try and keep the targets specific and achievable so we can tick them off as we go. Bear in mind that we may not cover some topics until later on in the course Vocab  Learn vocabulary for a specific topic / Methods? / Specific target ie get 90% right in vocab tests Grammar  Gender of words, agreement of adjectives, learn (and conjugate) verbs, difference between ‘vous’ and ‘tu’ Speaking  Confidence, ask and answer questions, speak without referring to notes, understanding questions, trying out different ways of asking questions, Listening  Understand (increasing) instructions in French, better understanding French spoken on video/cd Reading  Start to understand more complicated written instructions, understanding of longer reading passages Writing  Start to write more accurate short/longer phrases, understand spelling patterns, correct spelling in vocabulary tests Extra activities?  Reading French magazines/papers/books, looking at French websites, extra grammar practise(!)

30 LOS DEBERES -Read text and draw a plan of the house, floors, objects… -Write 10 sentences using the preterite tense.
