2 A: ¿Dónde viven ustedes? B: Vivimos en una casa/apartamento. Está en un edificio de dos pisos. A: ¿Cuál es tu dirección? B: Es calle Almendro 2391. A: ¿Cómo es tu casa/apartamento? B: Es muy pequeña/grande. Tiene 3 baños y 5 habitaciones y un patio y jardín muy bonitos. A: ¿Qué te parece tener que hacer los quehaceres? B: A veces me toca sacar la basura pero me parece bien. No es gran cosa. B: ¿y a ti? ¿Qué te parece tener que hacer los quehaceres? A: Yo siempre tengo que limpiar la sala. ¡Que lata! A: A mi hermano(a) nunca le toca limpiar la sala. Me parece injusto. B: ¡Lo siento! A mi hermano(a) nunca le toca limpiar el baño tampoco. Me parece injusto también.

Negation A.Nunca and tampoco 1.Nunca—never 2.Tampoco—neither/either a.Can take the place of no b.Can be added toward the end of a sentence that already has no 3.Examples a.I don’t go to the beach No voy a la playa. b.I never go to the beach. Nunca voy a la playa. No voy a la playa nunca. c. I don’t go to the pool either. Tampoco voy a la piscina. No voy a la piscina tampoco.

6 I. Negation B. Nada 1. As the subject of a sentence—means nothing 2. After the verb—means not anything or nothing a. When nada is after the verb, no must be placed before the verb 3. Examples a. Nothing is easy Nada es fácil. b. I don’t want anything today. No quiero nada hoy.

7 I. Negation C. Nadie 1. Nadie—means nobody or not anybody a. when used after the verb, no must be placed before the verb. 2. Examples a. Nobody wants to wash the dishes Nadie quiere lavar los platos. b. There isn’t anybody here. No hay nadie aquí.
