(dads brother) Los hijos de javier.(Javiers children) Giving dates: Day + Month When you want to give the date,Use the following phrase: Es el +number+de+month ¿ cuál es la fecha de hoy? ( what is today's date?) Hoy es el dieciocho de Octubre.(Today is the eighteenth of October) The only one that does not follow this pattern is the first of the month. Es el primero de Noviembre.

E XPRESSION POSSESSION : P OSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES Possessive adjectives tell you who owns something or describe a relationship between people or things. In spanish, possessive adjectives agree in number with the nouns they describe. MiNuestro (a) tuVuestro (a) su MisNuestros (as) tusVuestros (as) sus My Your (fam.) Your (formal) His her its My Your (fam.) Your (formal) His her its our Your (fam.) Yours (formal) theirs our Your (fam.) Your (formal) their Es mi tio,(hes my uncle) Son mis abuelos.(they are mygrandparents) nuestros abuelos Must agree in gender and number nuestro abuelo nuestra abuela If you need to emphasize,substitute the adjective with: DE+pronoun or the persons name. This also helps to clarify the meaning of su,sus. Es su tio. (becomes…>) Es el tio de el. De mi,de ti,de usted,de el,de ella,de nosotros(as),de vos(as),de ustedes,de ellos,(as)
