5 Misión Recinto de Mayagüez 1  “To define the priorities and academic approaches of each college in such way that they will provide opportunities for the needs of regular and continuing education.  To provide its students with the means to enable them to understand the changing social and economic problems and issues of our time.”

6 Misión Recinto de Mayagüez 2  “To develop in the students a positive attitude towards learning, in order to encourage them to continue to improve and update their knowledge.  To expedite the establishment of interdisciplinary programs in order to facilitate the full development of the intellectual potential of the students. This will enable students to function in a variety of areas of human endeavor.”

7 Misión Recinto de Mayagüez 3  “To extend cooperative education to select academic programs based on the needs of the community.  To promote the use of the most up- to-date pedagogical methods and the highest degree of efficiency in teaching.”
