7 Counting Objects When we state the quantity of objects in Spanish, we do not need to use el/la/los/las. Ejemplos: – El libro es aburrido. We would NOT say: – Hay un el libro (There is one the book / There is a the book) – Hay cinco el libros (There are five the books) – Hay cinco los libros (There are five the books) Observations/Conclusions: What does el/la/los/las mean?
