5 Why am I here?  I have been teaching students with moderate-severe disabilities for 32 years.  We've come a long way in 32 years.  We're not quite there yet.  Why enroll special needs students in electives??

6 Hands on Horticulture Students learned how to plant seeds Transfer seedlings to bigger pots And finally out to the garden. The cauliflower they grew was used by the Culinary Dept for cooking.

17 Excellence in Special Education Award Nominations Nominaciones para los Premios a la Excelencia en Educación Especial 11 categories Anyone can make a nomination Open through Wednesday, February 25, 2015 (next CAC meeting) Nominees are chosen anonymously Nominees not chosen and their supervisors learn they were nominated and by whom after the awards ceremony has taken place The awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 CAC representatives attend to host our guests and to receive recognition for CAC membership

18 Public Comments? Comentario Público We welcome public comments – they can be acknowledgement of good practices, or questions or concerns about special education services that impact groups of children. In compliance with the Brown act, there will be no action taken at the meeting in which a comment is made, though there may be time for discussion. The executive committee will respond to comments at the following CAC meeting. Individual speakers are limited to three (3) minutes for their presentation and the total time for public comments per meeting is 15 minutes
