This is a class that will have done the ‘rules’ in earlier years but have not acquired how/when to use the 2 verbs in their own production. listo incómodo sucio simpático asqueroso was/were = era(n) OR estaba(n) (???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) 1. estaba(n) = verb ESTAR and means ‘to be in that state (temporarily)’ 2. era(n) = verb SER and means ‘to be essentially that way (permanently)’ Sometimes you can decide yourself which meaning you want and choose SER or ESTAR.

2 I like France because I like the sun, the beaches and the people. 3 I want to go with my friends but I have to go with my family. 4 We go to a campsite. 5 I prefer hotels because they are more comfortable. 6 But the campsite has lots of facilities. 7 For example, it has a pool and a shop. 8 In France in the summer it’s hot and sunny. En el verano normalmente voy a Francia con mi familia. Me gusta Francia porque me gustan el sol, las playas y la gente. Quiero ir con mis amigos pero tengo que ir con mi familia. Vamos a un camping. Prefiero los hoteles porque son más cómodos. Pero el camping tiene muchas instalaciones. Por ejemplo, tiene una piscina y una tienda. En Francia en el verano hace calor y hace sol.

El hotel era fenomenal. Mi habitación tenía Internet de alta velocidad, una televisión como un cine y un jacuzzi.

Remember: You have to change the ending on the adjective to match the noun! Translate into your books. Then make all these opinions positive.
