If it ends in a vowel, add –s to make it plural. Chico  Chicos If it ends in a consonant, add –es to make it plural. Gris  Grises If it ends in a –z, change the z to a c and add –es. Lápiz  Lapices Luz  Luces (lights) Pez  Peces (fish)
