2 De la Esclavitud a la Libertad
Retiro Encuentro con Dios Sesión 3 Purpose of This Ministry Session—People will: • Be alerted to areas of bondage where God wants to set them free. • Receive faith for what God wants to do through a brief testimony. • Review how to confess sins and minister to one another. Note! • If this session is beginning Day Two, you should begin with prayer and worship for minutes. • The teaching portion of this session should be very short. – 10 minutes teaching on habitual sins and addictions. – 10 minutes to review the healing pattern. – 5-10 minutes for a brief testimony. • It is important to follow the guidelines above, in order to allow minutes for ministry. • As noted in the Powerpoint, emphasize the availability of the retreat leadership team to demonstrate or help with ministry now and as the weekend progresses. Read the Scripture. In everything we do this weekend we are bringing our lives to God as we submit more fully to His Word. We are then breaking the bondage in our lives and stepping into God’s healing and freedom. In this section we want to renounce works of the flesh (habitual sins and addictions) that we have bound us.

(Gálatas 5:16) The alternative to living in the flesh is submitting to God and walking in the freedom and power of His Spirit.

5 En esta Sesión Trataremos con...
Actitudes Destructivas Hábitos Destructivos Idolatría Adicciones y Dependencias You don’t need to spend long on this slide. It is just to set the direction for the talk. (People can listen more easily when they understand a talk’s overall outline.)

6 Actitudes Destructivas
All of these areas are condemned in God’s word. They are attitudes and actions that are destructive to others and ourselves. When any of these attitudes takes hold, we are no longer being directed by God’s Spirit and His Word. People-pleasing is being more concerned about what others think than what God thinks. It is alright to consider others feelings, but we are not to be controlled by them. Christ Himself is to be Lord of our attitudes, words and actions. One major destructive attitude that we will look at in an entire section later is “Unforgiveness and Resentment.” We will not focus on it in this section.

7 Actitudes Destructivas
Ira Contensión Codicia (Desear lo que pertenece a otro) Jesús dijo en Mateo 6:24 que no podemos servir a Dios y al Dinero Concupiscencia Perfeccionismo Incredulidad These are mostly self-explanatory. Anger is increasing pressure in conflict in order to force our own view or our way on others. Greed is a major bondage in our modern culture. In order to earn more, Christians will often sacrifice time with God or the priority of their marriage or family. Perfectionism is placing unrealistic expectations on ourselves or others. Unbelief can take many forms. Often it is reliance on ourselves—our own wisdom, abilities or hard work—instead of relying on God and following his path for us.

8 Hábitos y Acciones Destructivas
Chisme Calumnia Lenguaje deshonesto (Efesios 4:29) Maldecir Robar Mentira Romper Promesas Homicidio Deseos de Muerte (Para otros o uno mismo) Gossip & Hurtful Speech are putting others down in what we say either in their absence or in their presence. These and dirty and cursing language are condemned in God’s Word which says in Ephesians 4:29: Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. If you want Christ’s freedom, check the appropriate items if you have EVER done them. We are not comparing ourselves to others but to God’s Word. The question is not, “Do I gossip more than others?” but, “Have I put other down through gossip?” Probably everyone needs to also confess Lying. A Death Wish is wishing that someone were dead. The person you had this wish for my have been yourself.

9 Idolatría “Excesiva devoción a algo.”
An Idol is anything that we make a “god”—something that we look to for our fulfillment and that begins to control our life. Sometimes we idolize a person. Other things that we make idols our careers or pastimes. The Bible often calls Greed idolatry, because so many people are controlled by materialism. Evil things can become idols, but so can things that would otherwise be good. Idolizing things other than God always leads to disillusionment. Let the Holy Spirit speak to you about things that may have become idols to you or in the past.

10 Adicción o Dependencia de:
Gula Nicotina (Cigarrillo) Drogas que alteran la mente Alcohol Juego Tarjetas de Crédito Excesivo uso de la Computadora Television Otros(s)??? These are self explanatory. Remind people to check things that were a problem in the past even if they don’t seem to be now. We want to bring every area to God to receive His freedom. Sometimes this requires praying over past sins to eliminate the effects that past bondage may be having in our present life and relationships.

You can be set free today! But if you have a serious problem, you may need to do more to stay free. Are you willing to seek ongoing accountability? Are you willing to get rid of the garbage—things that create bondage for you? (The Credit Cards, the Drugs or Alcohol.) Do you want to do whatever it takes to be free? Do you need a support group to “walk out” your freedom? If you need more help, pray with your ministry partner today and then talk to your pastor or someone else who can help you set a course for freedom.

Luego yo le daré algunas instrucciones importantes antes de nuestro tiempo de ministración Allow people several minutes to review this. Encourage them to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit as they reconsider this area.

13 Revisando el Modelo de Sanidad
Tu Parte en tu Sanidad Someterte a Dios Confesar Otras Partes—Orar Asegúrate de Perdonar Rompe la Esclavitud Lanza lejos la Opresión Destruye Recuerdos Extiende la Sanidad de Dios This section is a review of the same teaching in the last session. It is here to reinforce how effective confession and ministry is to take place. Since it is a review, do not take as much time on it. Allow a brief time for questions, however, because people have now had a chance to experiment some. If someone has LOTS of questions, offer to talk with them individually. Move quickly over this slide. It is simply an overview of what will follow.

14 Instrucciones Importantes
Do one person at a time moving through all steps. Then go back and do all the steps with the other person.

15 Importantes Instrucciones
Escuche la voz del Espíritu Santo y Su oportunidad Do one person at a time moving through all steps. Then go back and do all the steps with the other person.

16 ¡Recuerde! Nosotros estamos aquí para servirle y ministrarle Emphasize the availability of the retreat leaders to help model and do ministry! It is alright to say to one of us, “I don’t quite get this. Could you do this with us?” Or to say to your ministry partner, “Let’s get one of the leaders to help us as we walk through this area. I think this will be a harder section for me.”

17 Un Breve Testimonio Our goal in using a testimony is not to go into the gory details of the sin, but to glorify God. By testifying to God’s deliverance in an area, we build faith and anticipation for those at the retreat.

Say this aloud together.

19 Posibles Áreas de Opresión
Curiosidad Religiones Falsas Idolatría Decepción Control Miedo These are examples of spirits that you may want to name and cast away in this area of ministry.
