5 Making Comparisons using adjectives When using adjectives to compare anything or anyone you insert the adjective in between the comparison phrase, Mas…. que or menos…..que.

7 el hockey levantar pesas Levantar pesas es menos divertido que el hockey. Menos… que= less than Lifting weights is less fun than hockey.

8 Making comparisons with verbs or nouns without adjectives When comparing items with verbs or nouns without adjectives you put the phrase together.

9 nadar El tenis Me gusta nadar mas que jugar al tenis. I like to swim more than play tennis. Mas que=more than

10 el guante El bate Me gusta usar un guante nuevo menos que un bate nuevo. I like to use a new glove less than a new bat. Menos que=less than

11 Use Mas de and Menos de to compare numbers Hay mas de 7 jugadores en el equipo de beisbol. La clase empieza en menos de 5 minutos.

12 Tan… como Vs. Tanto como Use tan…. como= as….as, to compare items using adjectives when they both exhibit that quality equally. Use tanto como= as much as, when you compare items without an adjective but with a verb when both exhibit that quality equally.
