First, UNDERSTAND WHAT THE QUESTION IS ASKING Second, ANSWER THE QUESTION Common issues: If the question asks “te gusta” (do you like), you need to answer “Me gusta” (I like) If the question asks “quieres” (do you want), you need to answer, “Quiero” (I want)

3 EJEMPLO #1: ¿Cuándo te gusta ir a la piscina?
FIRST, you must understand what the question is asking. It helps to break it down into 3 sections: QUESTION WORD(S) VERB REST OF THE QUESTION ¿Cuándo te gusta ir a la piscina? When do you like to go to the pool QUESTION WORD VERB REST OF QUESTION

4 Change the verb form to the “yo” form
FIRST STEP Change the verb form to the “yo” form The question asks “Te gusta” (Do you like), so your answer needs to say “Me gusta” (I like)

5 Copy the rest of the question ir a la piscina = to go to the pool
SECOND STEP Copy the rest of the question ir a la piscina = to go to the pool

6 The question asks “Cuándo” (when), so you need to add your answer
THIRD STEP Add your answer The question asks “Cuándo” (when), so you need to add your answer siempre, nunca, todos los días, los viernes, etc.

7 ¿Cuándo te gusta ir a la piscina?
FINAL ANSWER ¿Cuándo te gusta ir a la piscina?  Me gusta ir a la piscina los viernes.

8 EJEMPLO #2: ¿Dónde quieres correr?
¿Dónde quieres correr? Where do you want to run

9 STEPS: ¿Dónde quieres correr?
Change the verb form: “Quieres”  Do you want Quiero  I want Copy the rest of the question: correr Add your answer: “Dónde” means “where,”  en el parque ¿Dónde quieres correr?  Quiero correr en el parque.

10 EJEMPLO #3: ¿Con qué frecuencia te gusta practicar deportes?
¿Con qué frecuencia te gusta practicar deportes? How often do you like to practice sports

11 STEPS: ¿Con qué frecuencia te gusta practicar deportes?
Change the verb form: “Te gusta”  Do you want Me gusta  I want Copy the rest of the question: practicar deportes Add your answer: “Con qué frecuencia” means “How often”  todos los días ¿Con qué frecuencia te gusta practicar deportes?  Me gusta practicar deportes todos los días.

12 ¿Con qué frecuencia te gusta estudiar el español?
PRACTICAMOS ¿Con qué frecuencia te gusta estudiar el español? ¿Cuándo quieres hacer la tarea? ¿Dónde quieres nadar? ¿Con quién te gusta ver la televisión? Me gusta estudiar el español todos los días. Quiero hacer la tarea después de las clases. Quiero nadar en la piscina. Me gusta ver la televisión con mi familia.

13 ¿Cuándo quieres ir al cine?
PRACTICAMOS (CONT) ¿Cuándo te gusta leer? ¿Cuándo quieres ir al cine? ¿Con qué frecuencia te gusta escuchar música? ¿Dónde te gusta comer pizza? Me gusta leer casi siempre. Quiero ir al cine los viernes. Me gusta escuchar música los fines de semana. Me gusta comer pizza en la playa.
