2 The stem for regular verbs in the pretérito is the infinitive stem.

-é -aste -ó -amos -asteis -aron

4 Pretérito endings for –er / -ir verbs are:
-í -iste -ió -imos -isteis -ieron

5 REMEMBER: ER AND IR VERBS IN THE PRETERITE TENSE USE THE SAME ENDINGS!!!

These irregulars ALL use the same endings! It doesn’t matter if the verb is –AR, -ER, or –IR! This set of irregulars use the SAME ENDINGS! NONE OF THE ENDINGS HAVE ACCENTS!!
