There are two ways to express possession in Spanish The first way is to use the preposition “de”: Es el libro de la profesora. Es la madre de Manuel. Es el hermano de Albert.

The second way is to use a Possessive Adjective (Adjetivo Posesivo).
Like all adjectives, possessive adjectives must agree in gender and number with the nouns they are describing.
