7 Introduction The goal of this Technical Specification is the development of fundamental quality systems that provide for continuous improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. This Technical Specification defines the fundamental quality system requirements of the subscribing companies. It is recognized that there may be company-specific, division-specific, commodity-specific, and/or part-specific requirements in addition to those given in Figure 1. This Technical Specification aligns existing automotive quality system requirements within the global automotive industry and avoids multiple certification audits. ISO/TS 16949

11 ISO/QS 9000 y un Producto de Calidad
Does Registration = Delivered Quality? “Complying with ISO 9000 standard does not indicate that every product or service meets the customer requirements, only that the quality system is capable of meeting them”* “This distinction is almost universally recognized by both ISO 9000 registered suppliers and their customer. But if a customer cannot depend upon receiving acceptable product from such a supplier, ISO 9000 registration would seem to provide little or no value.”* *León, Gto., Mayo 1999, Dan Reid
