The present progressive describes an action that is in process at the moment we are talking. ¡ahora mismo!

In English you say: He is walking. She is working. We do the same in Spanish 

4 ¿Cómo lo formamos? + Never leave out the verb ESTAR!! estoy estamos
How do we form the Present Progressive: Present tense forms of ESTAR Present Participle of the main verb. (“-ing”) estoy estamos estás estáis está están + -ando for -ar verbs -iendo for -er/-ir verbs Never leave out the verb ESTAR!!

5 Participio presente = -ing
Infinitivo Participio hablar hablando comer comiendo vivir viviendo estudiar estudiando pensar pensando jugar jugando encender encendiendo

6 ESTAR y el Participio + -ando -iendo He’s walking. El está caminando.
yo estoy tú estás él, ella, Ud. está nosotros estamos vosotros estáis ellos, ellas, Uds. están + He’s walking. El está caminando.

7 ESTAR y el Participio + -ando -iendo She’s working.
yo estoy tú estás él, ella, Ud. está nosotros estamos vosotros estáis ellos, ellas, Uds. están + She’s working. Ella está trabajando.

8 Verbos irregulares… **When the “stem” of an –er or –ir verb ends in a vowel, change “iendo” to “yendo” leer  leyendo oír  oyendo creer  creyendo
