Two other locations preserve the location of the ascension.  Constantine's mother Helena built a church which is under the modern Paternoster Church to commemorate this event.  A much later tradition connects the Russian Orthodox Church of the Ascension to Christ's return into heaven.   Scripture indicates that Jesus ascended into heaven in the vicinity of Bethany.  This village is down the east slope of the Mt. of Olives about 1.5 miles (2 km).  In this case, none of the traditional locations for the ascension are correct. 35 Días de espera Después de que Cristo ascendió al cielo, los discípulos esperaron en Jerusalén para el Espíritu Iban a ser solo 10 días, pero no lo sabían Cuando llegó el Espíritu en Pentecostés, y comenzó la iglesia, el tiempo de obedecer la Gran Comisión empezó. A nosotros Cristo nos ha dado la Gran Comisión, y a cada uno una misión específica, según nuestros dones y oportunidades. Hasta morir, o hasta la llegada de Cristo, este es nuestro momento para trabajar mientras esperamos. Usémos el tiempo bien.
