Notes #!2 When you tell time in Spanish you will use the verb ser. Note that you use es when it is one’clock and son when it is any other number. It is one o’clock Es la una. It is two o’clock Son las dos. It is three o’clock Son las tres. Use Es when telling time between 1:00-1:59 Use Son for 2:00-12:59 o’clock

8 Uno, Una- Confused One(1) in Spanish is Uno.
When we use One(1) to tell time we change it to a feminine form because hora/hour is feminine.¿Qué hora es? Es la una.(It is one.) Note: Una can mean one to tell time and it can also mean the indefinite article (a, an) Look at the context of the sentence and how it’s being used, is it used in a time phrase or is it used in front of a noun.
