Switch controls – Switching between servers is made easy via the port and station ID displays and control buttons. The port ID displays the port number (1-8 for AP5808 and 1-16 for AP5816) in use on the KVM and the station ID displays the port number in use of on any attached device. Use the up/down control buttons to navigate through them. Embedded Menu system: The user can choose servers via an internal menu. Single user rack mount kit – Quickly and easily install in square, round, and threaded hole racks. The Rack LCD Console installation process has been streamlined through the design of this rack mount kit which allows the unit to be installed by one person. Cascade port: A cascade port is available for attaching AP5201 or AP5202 to allow more ports. This product has only one cascade out, and AP5201 and AP5205 has an in/out so you can cascade multiple switches. Integrated Touchpad: Easier to use and more familiar to most users than a trackball. USB port – Unique feature to this product in which you can attach a mouse or a thumbdrive/flashdrive. This is a valuable feature for an IT manager, they can perform simple upload/download procedures to their servers via this USB port. 17" TFT active matrix screen: A display screen made with TFT (thin-film transistor) technology is an LCD that has a transistor for each pixel, enabling the display to be more responsive to change. For example, when you move your mouse across the screen, a TFT display is fast enough to reflect the movement of the mouse cursor. Power Tilt Sensor: When opening, the monitor’s power will turn on at approximately 15 degrees and turnoff at the same angle when closing. Backlit will turn off which provides energy efficiency. 1 U-space – Essentially the main value proposition, separate Rack LCD Console and KVM products take up 2U rack space and require more installation time. The main benefit to this new design is having them integrated into one package to cut installation time and optimize rack space.

Administrators can easily configure access control profiles for individual employees, configure scheduled access to equipment for maintenance purposes, and view audit trails. Various alarm notifications are available to indicate a compromised security state such as forced entry and door position. This slide provides a high-level overview of APC’s NetBotz Access Control product family. AVAILABILITY: Audit Trail capability for real-time monitoring of who is accessing the enclosure around the clock through issued proximity cards. AGILITY: Flexibility to allow non-proximity card holders access to the enclosure for maintenance. TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP: Investment protection from theft and authorized access of the enclosure. Proximity card access: Restrict equipment access to authorized people through proximity card interaction. Rack Access: Includes horizontal, vertical, and toolless-mount varieties, taking up 1U or 0U in the enclosure Read-only access: Share access without risking unauthorized configuration changes. Password Security: User-selectable password protection.
