7 Las Estaciones The majority of the seasons in South America are REVERSED than what we have here. Ex: When we are in Summer, they are in Winter. Because of the seasons, children go to school in a different period of time. Schools usually start at the end of February or beginning of March and end in the middle of December. Christmas happens to be in the beginning of the Summer, so we have a VERY HOT SEASON!!
