2 Conjugating REGULAR verbs
There are 3 steps for conjugating regular verbs: STEP 1: Cross out the ending that makes it an infinitive. ( -ar, -er , or -ir) STEP 2: Box the root word, (what’s left) STEP 3: Add appropriate ending (MUST MATCH subject)

I- yo –o We-(m/f) Nosotros nosotras -amos You- Tú(familiar)- as XXXXXXXXXXXXXX He- él She- ella- a You- usted (formal)- They-(m/f)-ellos, ellas Y’all-Ustedes -an

10 Ser vs. Estar ESTAR- To be Estar is irregular in the yo form
It means “to be”- (I am, you are, he is…) Accent over the “á” in all forms except yo and nosotros Used to discuss things considered temporary: Conditions/emotions- happy, tired Location- where an object, thing, or person is at right now Daily health- well, sick.. Weather- está nevando (it is snowing) Present Progressive- the “ing” for of the word. (a form of estar +-ando, -iendo) ie- Estoy guardando cama

11 Ser- To be “ser” must be memorized because it is irregular
It is used to discuss things considered permanent Physical appearance-what something looks like Identifying a person or thing- what it is What something or someone is like- personality Origin- where something is from Time

¿Quién en la clase de español es rubio? ¿Quién es moreno? ¿Cuál es un curso interesante? ¿Cuál es una clase aburrida? ¿El equipo de qué deporte es muy bueno?
