¿Qué significa mucho? ¿Qué significa poco? As we go through the following slides, fill in the blanks on your notes sheet. Once we are through, take a couple minutes and try and figure out the pattern.

5 Hay muchos libros. ¿Cuántos libros hay? No, hay pocos libros.

6 Hay mucha tarea. ¿Cuánta tarea hay? No, hay poca tarea.

7 Hay muchas chicas. ¿Cuántas chicas hay? No, hay pocas chicas.

8 What’s the pattern? Match the cuánto, mucho, and poco up to the noun (gender/# matching)

9 Con números: ¿Cuántos libros hay? Hay tres libros

10 Con números ¿Cuántas manos hay? Hay cuatro manos.

13 What’s the pattern? Match the cuánto up to the noun (gender/# matching) The answer format is Hay [#] [cosa]. You don’t need to match the gender/# of the number to the noun UNLESS… With any number ending with “-uno” you say “-un” before a masculine noun and “-una” before a feminine noun.
