About the artist Posada was born is Aguascalientes, México in 1852 and was educated early on by his brother, Cirilo. It was also his brother who taught him how to draw, and helped develop Posada’s skills at a very young age. Early into his teens, Posada entered the printmaking shop of Trinidad Pedroso and began an apprenticeship. By the time was sixteen, he was working for the shop and producing a great amount of political prints.

Your goal is to create a powerful calavera drawing of your own. Your drawing should do 2 things: Emulate Posada's style. Emulate means to imitate, copy, or mirror. Create a cultural drawing about what you think Día de los muertos represents to YOU.
