Examples: señora, niña, mujer, madre, estudiante Most words that end in –a Examples: silla, ventana, mesa, pluma Most words that end in –ción, -sión, -tad, -dad, -umbre Examples: conversación, libertad, costumbre Exception: mano

7 Plural Nouns If a noun ends with a vowel, add –s
Example: cuaderno – cuadernos If a noun ends with a consonant, add –es Example: pizarrón – pizarrones If a noun ends with “z”, change it to “c” and add –es Example: lapiz – lapices If a noun ends with “es” or “is”, it does not change in the plural. Example: lunes – lunes

Plural articles end in –s. Plural Definite Articles los and las Plural Indefinite Articles unos and unas
