John gives us three things that the believer possesses in relation to prayer when they are in true fellowship. Juan nos da tres cosas que el creyente posee con respecto a la oración cuando estamos en comunión con Dios. The Believer Has Assurance (vs ). El creyente tiene seguridad.

3 “Characteristics of Fellowship” #3
19 This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence 20 whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. (1 John 3:19-20)

Our confidence comes from an assured heart. Nuestra confianza viene de un corazón firme. Our confidence is toward God in prayer. Nuestra confianza se dirige a Dios.

As a result, we have a witness. 24 Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. (1 John 3:24) And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us. (1 John 3:23-24)
