2 -GO Verbs Present Tense Verbs -GO in the yo form Verbs to know:
Hacer – to make/do Salir – to leave/go out Traer – to bring Poner – to put/place Venir – to come

4 Present Progressive Tense
Tells the reader what is going on at this exact moment. In English: To be + Present Participle (-ing) In Spanish: Estar + -ando/-iendo/-yendo Compound Tense Means that there are 2 parts to the tense Estar  What you will conjugate to your subject Present Participle, a.k.a “the other verb”: Regardless of the subject, drop the infinitive ending and add: -ar  -ando -er/-ir  -iendo If you have an -er/-ir verb that is preceded by a vowel  -yendo Examples: TRAER, oír, construir, leer, caer…

7 Present  Present Progressive
On your test, you will have a sentence with the verb italicized. Focus on that verb and nothing else in the sentence. ¿Hablas español? Identify your subject. Helpful hint: Sometime the subject will be written before the verb, sometimes it will not. Be able to look at your verb & ID the subject based on the ending. Match the form of estar to your subject. Another helpful hint: check the ending of estar. Does it match the ending of your verb? Does estar have an accent mark over the a? Look at the verb & ID your infinitive. Wow! Another hint: look at the ending of the verb. If I have given you a yo, you have seen the verb MULTIPLE TIMES. If there is ie or ue in the middle of the verb, it was a stem change. Remember where the changes came from. Add your present participle ending. Dude! She really likes us! She’s giving us another hint: I have already told you which verbs have –yendo. You might want to remember them.
