1 Possesive Adjectives

2 Possesive adjectives are used to show possesion.
They are used to say: “my, your, his, her, our, their”

3 When you are talking about one singular item that belongs to somebody, use the following :
Mi Nuestro/a Tu Su Su

4 Mi coche. Mi papá. Tu casa. Nuestra casa. My pencil. = Our teacher. =
Their dog. = Your class. =

5 Mis Nuestros/as Tus Sus Sus
When you are talking about more than one object, use the PLURAL form (add an “s” to the singular forms): Plural: Mis Nuestros/as Tus Sus Sus

6 Nuestras computadoras.
Mis coches. Mis padres. Tus maestros. Nuestras computadoras. My pencils. = Our teachers. = Their dogs. = Your classes. =

7 Possesive Adjectives *Must agree in NUMBER and GENDER
Singular Plural Mi Nuestro/a Mis Nuestros/as Tu Vuestro/a Tus Vuestros/as Su Su Sus Sus *Must agree in NUMBER and GENDER *If talking about just 1 thing, use the singular * If talking about more than one, add an “s” (plural)

8 soy, eres, es, somos, son SER: *Use the verb SER when talking
about possession: soy, eres, es, somos, son

9 Práctica: It’s my book. = Es mi libro. They’re my books. = Son mis libros. It’s our house. = Es nuestra casa.

10 Práctica: Our school is good. = Nuestra escuela es buena. Their houses are big. = Sus casas son grandes. Is your cat black or white? Es tu gato negro o blanco?
