3 ENERGY Características Generales  OBJETIVOS Adaptar el actual sistema energético a otro más sostenible, menos dependiente de combustibles importados y basado en diversas fuentes de energía, en particular, las renovables, los vectores de energía y fuentes no contaminantes. Mejorar la eficiencia energética, mediante el uso racional y el almacenamiento de energía. Abordar retos de sostenibilidad, cambio climático y competitividad de las empresas.  ESTRATEGIA Apoyo a las iniciativas políticas europeas sobre energía y clima Implementación del SET-Plan Hacia el Horizonte 2020

La propuesta consiste en una planta piloto de producción de energía por cogeneración de calor y la electricidad basado en una patente para el uso eficiente de fuentes renovables, lo que puede garantizar 100% la demanda de la electricidad y el calor de una comunidad de alrededor de 600 a 1.000 personas.
