Past Participles

Big Idea Past participles are used to make the present perfect tense. In those verb conjugations, they all end in the letter O. However, if you change the endings to O,A,OS,AS you can use those participles as adjectives.

Construction To form a past participle, you drop the ending and add… AR Verbs ado ER/IR Verbs ido Verbs like Leer ído Then, since the word you’re looking for is an ADJECTIVE, you can switch the O to an A, OS, or AS to match the noun you are describing.
