Examples: We´ve been using ‘Ir + a’ to say where we are going (places): Yo voy al parque con mis amigos. Los estudiantes van a la escuela. Nosotros vamos a la fiesta para escuchar música.

Ir + a + infinitive We can also use ‘Ir + a’ to say what we are going to do (talk about the future). To do this, we use: Ir + a + infinitive

Ejemplos: Yo voy a estudiar en la biblioteca mañana. I am going to study in the library tomorrow. Cecilia va a jugar al tenis este fin de semana. Cecilia is going to play tennis this weekend.

Ejemplos: We can even use ‘Ir + a + infinitive’ with ir again! Ellos van a ir al concierto el viernes. They are going to go to the concert on Friday. Vamos a ir a Florida en julio. We are going to go to Florida in July.
