To ask what time is it, you say: ¿Qué hora es? ¿Qué hora es?

If the time is ONE (1) then you say: Es la una and then the minutes. Es la una and then the minutes. 1:00- Es la una. 1:00- Es la una. 1:10- Es la una y diez. 1:10- Es la una y diez.

If the time is BIGGER than ONE (2, 3, 4…10, 11), you use: Son las and then the time. Son las and then the time. 9 AM- Son las nueve 9 AM- Son las nueve 11 PM- Son las once 11 PM- Son las once
