VERBOS REFLEXIVOS In a reflexive conjugation, the subject of the sentence is also the object. Meaning: The subject is the person/thing doing the action, and the same person/thing receives the action. Example: I brush my hair. The Subject matches the verb and the pronoun. Example: Yo me cepillo.

VERBOS REFLEXIVOS Take off the “se” and conjugate the verb normally Maquillar(se) maquillo maquillamos maquillas maquilláis maquilla maquillan Change the “se” to match the subject, place in front of verb Reflexive Pronouns me nos te os se

MAQUILLARSE Yo me maquillo Nosotros nos maquillamos Tú te maquillas Vosotros os maquilláis Él Ellos Ella se maquilla Ellas se maquillan Ud. Uds.

LEVANTARSE Yo me levanto Nosotros nos levantamos Tú te levantas Vosotros os levantáis Él Ellos Ella se levanta Ellas se levantan Ud. Uds.

VESTIRSE (E  I) Yo me visto Nosotros nos vestimos Tú te vistes Vosotros os vestís Él Ellos Ella se viste Ellas se visten Ud. Uds.

PRONOMBRES REFLEXIVOS With different types of verbs we will place the reflexive pronouns in different locations. Conjugated verbs: Place the reflexive pronoun IN FRONT of the conjugated verb. Example: Ellos se divierten. Present Participle/Gerund (ando/iendo) ATTACH the pronoun to the end of the gerund. This creates a need to add an accent mark on the ‘a’ in ándo and the ‘e’ in iéndo. Example: Ellos están divirtiéndose. OR Ellos se están divirtiendo.

¿REFLEXIVO O NO? Reflexive verbs start and end with the subject. If a subject does the action to another, then the verb is not reflexive. Example: I brush my hair v I brush my dog’s hair. Acostarse v acostar Secarse v secar Vestirse v vestir
