 Describe someone’s personality or physical description.  A person’s nationality or country of origin.  Their profession.  The day, date, or time.

 Adjectives must agree in gender and number with the noun they describe.

 1. Use –o with masculine and –a with feminine nouns ◦ Pablo era alto y aventurero. ◦ Verónica era alta y aventurera.  ¡OJO! If the subjects are a mixed gender, use the masculine form of the adjective.

 2. Most adjectives ending in a consonant like –L or –N or the vowel –E never change. (except for plurals) ◦ Pablo era alegre, leal, y joven. ◦ Verónica también era alegre, leal, y joven.

 3. If the adjective ends in –dor or if it refers to someone’s nationality add –a for feminine nouns. ◦ Pablo era hablador y trabajador. ◦ Verónica era habladora y trabajadora.

 4. To describe more than one person or thing… ◦ Add –s if the word ends in a vowel. ◦ Add –es if the word ends in a consonant.  Ellos eran jóvenes y muy conversadores.  Nosotros éramos chismosos y chistosos.
