Ser vs. Estar Both verbs mean “to be” but they have different uses
Ser Normally for permanent situations.
Ser soy somos eres sois es son

Ser 3. Description: Ellas son divertidas. 4. Day Hoy es martes.
Ser 5. Date Es el cinco de mayo. 6. Time Son las ocho.

Ser 8. Normal Condition of food: Me gusta la pizza. La pizza es deliciosa.
Estar Normally for temporary situations.

Estar 1.Location of person, place, thing (temporal y permanente) Yo estoy en la escuela. Oaxaca está en México. 2. Temporary Condition Pablo está enfermo hoy.
Estar 3. Mood/Emotion Nosotros estamos tristes. 4. Food—Condition right now La sopa está fría.
