Saber and Conocer both mean: O To know

Saber is used: O To know a fact O Mi madre sabe el teléfono de mi padre. O To know information O Yo sé la respuesta.

Saber is used: O To know how to do something O The third one is always used with an infinitive O Sabe ayudar a la gente.

Saber O Saber is also used in place of: poder O Yo puedo nadar  Yo sé nadar. O Saber is often followed by: question words O Mi amigo sabe quién es ella.

Conocer (to be familiar with) is used: O To know person O To know place

Conocer: O If using conocer to know a person you must add “a” after conocer. O Conozco a mis vecinos.

Conocer: O is NEVER used with an infinitve. O is NEVER used with question words.
