Recuerda… -ir verb endings: íimos isteisteis ióieron
Las reglas…(the rules) 1. -ar and –er verbs have NO stem- change in the preterit! (¡qué buenas noticias!) 2. -ir verbs only stem-change in the 3 rd (third) person (él, ella, Ud. and ellos, ellas, Uds.) Hint: if you make the verb chart and circle the bottom forms, these are the ones that still stem-change…Basement verbs!
