Usos de Ser: To describe permanent characteristics of objects & people. Ex. Esa canción es muy original. Es muy bonita. To indicate origin, nationality, or profession. Ex. Mi tía es escritora. Es de Madrid.

Usos de Ser: To indicate where something (an event) takes place. Ex. El concierto es en el teatro. T o indicate possession. Ex. La guitarra es de Elisa. To give the date, day, and time. Ex. Hoy es viernes. Son las tres. Es el 16 de octubre.

Usos de Estar To describe temporary characteristics, feelings, or conditions. Ex. El teatro está cerrado a esta hora. Los actores están muy nerviosos. To indicate location Ex. La banda está en el escenario.
