Irregular verbs All verbs conjugate. Irregular verbs have an additional spelling change when they conjugate. Three categories of irregular verbs: Stem-changing verbs A vowel in the stem will change in all forms except the "nosotros/vosotros" Irregular "yo" verbs Just the "yo" form has a spelling change Very irregular verbs All forms change drastically when conjugated. These are very useful verbs that must be memorized.

Irregular Yo verbs

Yo conduzco Tú conduces Él, ella, Ud. conduce Nosotros(as) conducimos Vosotros conducís Ellos(as), Uds. conducen Conducir - to drive

Yo conozco Tú conoces Él, ella, Ud. conoce Nosotros(as) conocemos Vosotros conocéis Ellos(as), Uds. conocen Conocer - to know (a person)

Yo doy Tú das Él, ella, Ud. da Nosotros(as) damos Vosotros dáis Ellos(as), Uds. dan Dar- to give

Yo parezco Tú pareces Él, ella, Ud. parece Nosotros(as) parecemos Vosotros parecéis Ellos(as), Uds. parecen Parecer - to seem

Yo sé Tú sabes Él, ella, Ud. sabe Nosotros(as) sabemos Vosotros sabéis Ellos(as), Uds. saben Saber - to know (a fact)

Yo veo Tú ves Él, ella, Ud. ve Nosotros(as) vemos Vosotros véis Ellos(as), Uds. ven Ver - to see

"Go" verbs -all these verbs have a "yo" form that ends with the letters "-go"

Yo caigo Tú caes Él, ella, Ud. cae Nosotros(as) caemos Vosotros caéis Ellos(as), Uds. caen caer- to fall

Yo hago Tú haces Él, ella, Ud. hace Nosotros(as) hacemos Vosotros hacéis Ellos(as), Uds. hacen hacer - to do/make

Yo pongo Tú pones Él, ella, Ud. pone Nosotros(as) ponemos Vosotros ponéis Ellos(as), Uds. ponen poner - to put or place

Stem-changing AND irregular "yo" Decir, seguir, tener, and venir are both stem-changing and irregular "yo" verbs Their "yo" form has a spelling change All their other forms (except nosotros/vosotros) have a stem- change
