Engles: "Viva Mexico" or "Viva la independencia” are shouted amidst the crowds on this day. The Mexicans had a long way to get their independence from the Spanish Soldiers. Miguel Hidalgo was a leader against the soldiers and made the cry of independence in Dolores, Mexico the Mexicans were not free from Spain until September 27, 1821. In my opinion I don’t believe that the Mexicans are free. The Mexicans are still free. The Mexicans are free from Spain but, the country still faces the corruption of its own government. Instead of enjoying the beautiful country of Mexico many people risk their lives to come here to America. However the day is celebrated in remembrance of their freedom as america celebrates theirs from the king of England.
