Possessive Case General Plural Possessives Rule #1 When the plural ends in s, only the apostrophe is added. Examples:   boys = boys' coat Mr. Furness = Mr. Furness' car princess = princess' tiara Posesivos generales plurales regla #1 cuando el plural termina en «s» solo se añade el apostrofe «´» Los abrigos de los jóvenes El carro de Mr Furness La tiara de la princesa Next

Plural Possessives Rule #2 When the plural does not end in s, only the apostrophe and the s is added. Examples:  Dog = Dog’s It is the childen’s ball ( it is their ball; the ball belongs to them.) Cuando el plural no termina el «S» el apostrofe y la s son añadidos «´s» Es el balo de los niño (es su balón; el balón les pertenece) Next

Example: Chris = Chris’ Singular Possessives Review Rule #3 Frequently, many become confused when a singular noun ends in "s" thinking that the word is plural.  However, there are many singular proper nouns that end in "s" like Jesus, Jones, etc.  When a name ends in "s" or "es", simply add an apostrophe.  For a family by the name of Potts, it is one family — singular — therefore, it would be the Potts' car. Example: Chris = Chris’ Frecuentemente, es confuso cuando un sustantivo singular termina en «s» y se cree que es plural, sin embargo hay muchos nombres propios que terminan en «s» como Jesús, jones etc. Cuando un nombre termina en «s» o en «es» simplemente se añade un apostrofe. Para la familia Potts, es una familia (singular)por lo tanto el carro de los potts Menu
