Terminology Review: Infinitive Verb Verb Stem Conjugated Verb Subject Pronoun Verb Ending A verb with no subject. Ends in ar, er, or ir. Part of the verb in front of the ar, er, ir ending. A verb with a subject. The ending tells who is doing the action. A word that refers to the subject, such as yo or tú. The ending placed on the verb stem that refers to the subject.

Remembering “Ar” Verb Conjugation: To give a verb a subject you must conjugate it. To conjugate the verb you have to: Drop the ar, er, or ir ending. Add the proper ending to match the subject.
