Two Verb Construction Rule When two verbs are next to each other, only conjugate the 1st one. Non-Examples: Yo quiero corro. Nosotros podemos hablamos. Tú necesitas te duchas. correr hablar ducharte

What do these sentences mean? Antes de + inf = Before… Antes de ducharme, me levanto. Before showering myself, I get up. Antes de cepillarnos los dientes, nos lavamos la cara. Before brushing our teeth, we wash our faces. Antes de vestirte, te secas con una toalla. Before getting yourself dressed, you dry off with a towel.

To Indicate Time *Add to notes Después de + inf = After… Después de prepararme, yo salgo. After I get myself ready, I leave.

What do these sentences mean? Después de + inf = After… Después de levantarse, Juan se ducha. After getting himself up, Juan showers. Después de ponerse el maquillaje, ella se viste. After putting on make up, she gets dressed. Después de cepillarme los dientes, me acuesto. After brushing my teeth, I go to bed.

What do these sentences mean? Para = In order to… Para ducharme, uso el champú. In order to shower myself, I use shampoo. Para despertarnos, usamos el despertador. In order to wake ourselves up, we use an alarm clock. Necesita la pasta de dientes para cepillarse los dientes. One needs toothpaste in order to brush his/her teeth.
