APUNTES- ir+a+place/los lugares (1-125)-REV. 2017 “Ir” is a Spanish verb. It means “to go” “a” means “to the”. If the place you’re going to is a masculine noun, “a” becomes “al” If the place you’re going to is a feminine noun, “a” becomes “a la” Conjugate- To conjugate means to “change” a verb from its infinitive to make it agree with the subject in the sentence. Infinitive- An infinitive is an unchanged, or, unconjugated verb. For example, the infinitive for the verb to go is “ir”, the infinitive for the verb to eat is “comer” Subject pronoun- A subject pronoun is the subject of a sentence. There are 9 subject pronouns: I, you (fam), he, she, you (fs), we, they (masc.), they (fem), you all. 7. Subject Pronouns in Spanish Yo- means “I” tú- means “you” (fam) Use this “you” with anyone you can call by his/her first name. él- means “he” ella- means “she” Ud.- means “you” (formal singular) Use this “you” with an adult Nosotros- means “we” ellos- means “they” (masc.) ellas- means “they” (fem.) Uds.- means “you all”
