Tricky things to add to study guide It is possible to have TWO ongoing actions if neither one is interrupting the other (both imperfect) When either sentirse or ponerse is used with an emotion, it is usually PRETERITE (to become the emotion)like in NEMO- se sintió avergonzado. Estar is usually imperfect with an emotion to describe feelings. Verbs like despedir or obtener take the same spelling changes as their root verbs (pedir/tener)
